1. About these Terms
These Terms of Service govern your use of the7.io and the products and services provided by Dream-Theme (“Dream-Theme”, “we”, “us”).
By purchasing a direct The7 license, using our websites, accessing our hosted services, or using our support services, you agree to these Terms.
Purchases made through Envato/ThemeForest remain subject to the applicable Envato license terms and the terms that applied to that purchase. These Terms do not replace or modify an existing ThemeForest license.
2. The7 licenses and plans
Current direct The7 plans are:
The7 1-Site
For one active production website. Staging/development copies associated with that website are permitted.
The7 Unlimited
For unlimited active websites.
A license key may only be used within the scope of the plan under which it was issued. We may limit, suspend, or review activations where a license is used outside its permitted scope or where we detect abuse, automated sharing, resale, or other unauthorized use.
Existing direct lifetime licenses remain subject to their lifetime entitlement and include The7 15 and lifetime The7 updates.
3. Purchases and payments
Direct The7 purchases are processed through Freemius, which acts as Merchant of Record/reseller for payment, invoicing, tax collection, and related transaction processing. Payment information is submitted directly to Freemius and its payment providers.
Prices, billing periods, applicable taxes, discounts, and renewal prices are shown before purchase.
4. Subscriptions and renewals
The7 1-Site and The7 Unlimited are annual subscriptions unless otherwise stated at checkout.
Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You may cancel future renewal at any time. Cancellation does not terminate the current paid period.
If a subscription expires or is cancelled:
- your existing website remains functional and editable;
- the license is not converted into a disabled or locked website;
- access to future The7 updates ends;
- support ends;
- access to hosted plan benefits, including the pre-made websites library, ends;
- new website activations are not available.
Your renewal terms and price are those shown for your subscription. If renewal terms change, we will provide notice where required by applicable law.
5. Updates and release tracks
An active direct The7 plan provides access to The7 releases and updates made available under that plan during its active term.
The7 15 is the current The7 release track.
Older The7 generations may be maintained separately as legacy releases. The scope of updates provided to a legacy release may differ from the current release track.
A license for The7 does not automatically create an entitlement to separately licensed products, hosted services, add-ons, or other products unless they are expressly included in that license or plan.
Existing direct lifetime licenses retain the update rights attached to those licenses.
6. ThemeForest licenses
The7 licenses purchased through ThemeForest remain valid under the applicable Envato license terms.
The7 14 is the legacy ThemeForest release. It continues to receive security and essential maintenance updates while the required Envato purchase-verification and update-delivery infrastructure remains available.
ThemeForest purchases made less than 12 months before the introduction of the direct The7 release track may be eligible for The7 15 at no additional cost for the remainder of their first 12 months, according to our current update policy.

7. Pre-made websites library
The pre-made websites library is a hosted service included with eligible active plans.
The library is continuously developed and may change over time. Individual designs, assets, integrations, or features may be added, modified, replaced, or removed.
Access to the hosted library is a plan benefit and is not perpetual unless expressly stated otherwise.
8. Support
Support is available to customers with an eligible active license through our official support portal.
The7 Unlimited includes priority support.
Support covers The7 itself and reasonable assistance with its documented features. It does not include custom website development, general WordPress administration, or debugging unrelated third-party code unless the problem is caused by The7.
We do not guarantee a specific response or resolution time unless explicitly stated otherwise.
9. Refunds
Refund eligibility is governed by the refund policy presented at purchase, the applicable Freemius transaction terms, and applicable consumer law.
Refund requests should be submitted through the channels provided for direct The7 purchases.
Freemius supports vendor-defined refund policies and administers payment refunds through its platform.
10. Intellectual property and open-source software
Dream-Theme retains all intellectual-property rights in The7, its branding, proprietary design assets, documentation, hosted services, and other materials except where rights are expressly granted under an applicable license.
The7 also contains software distributed under open-source licenses. Nothing in these Terms limits rights granted to you under those licenses.
Access to Dream-Theme’s commercial services, update infrastructure, support, license activation, hosted libraries, and other plan benefits is governed separately by these Terms and your applicable plan.
11. Availability and changes
We continuously develop The7 and our services. Features, integrations, interfaces, technical requirements, and hosted services may change over time.
We may modify or discontinue features where reasonably necessary for product development, security, compatibility, legal compliance, or operational reasons.
We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability of websites, update servers, third-party integrations, or hosted services.
12. Prohibited use
You may not:
- share, resell, or distribute license keys except where expressly permitted;
- circumvent activation or licensing controls;
- use one-site licenses simultaneously on multiple unrelated production websites;
- interfere with or overload our infrastructure;
- use our services for unlawful, fraudulent, or abusive purposes.
We may suspend access to services or licensing infrastructure where reasonably necessary to address abuse, fraud, security risks, or material violations of these Terms.
13. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The7 is provided for use in a changing software ecosystem that includes WordPress, PHP, browsers, hosting environments, and third-party plugins outside our control.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we do not guarantee that The7 will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every third-party product or environment.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect changes to our products, services, legal requirements, or business operations.
The current version will always be published on this page. Where required, we will provide reasonable notice of material changes.
